Which group should I join?
Many of our groups have more than one leader and offer runs at different paces.
Beginners & improvers
If you've never run before but would like to start, you can join us on Monday or Thursday in Exeter, Tuesday in Exmouth and in Honiton on Wednesdays . Kendal is a welcoming group that caters for all levels of runner on a Monday evening.
All of these groups have a walk/run programme that will get you up to running 5km. Once you feel more confident you can join their improvers group which is designed for runners who are comfortable at 5km and are looking to improve their speed or distance and run on the same night. Social runners
If you're comfortable running 5km and are looking to extend your distance or simply fancy a regular slot, check out our Preston groups on Tuesday , our Exeter Arena Tuesday group and our Topsham group, also meeting on Tuesdays. For those who would like to run a little further, but at a steady pace, and explore the Devon countryside our Saturday morning group would suit.
Competitive & confident runners
For ladies who relish the competitive edge of races and are confident running faster, we have a few groups that will appeal to you. Check out our Exeter (Pinhoe Sainsburys) group on a Monday for those around the city. Our Exeter Arena group and our Preston group also cater for the more confident runner.
Whichever group you join initially, membership of Women on the Run entitles you to run in any of the groups. Some our of members run with us two to three times a week.
