About Us

Women on the Run was set up by a group of women who had a common desire to run together.  It is a running club with a difference in that we don't have a club house but run from a variety of venues, in different locations.

We are affiliated to England Athletics and all our groups are led by qualified leaders.

People often ask why an all women's group?  The simple answer is that many ladies prefer it that way.  There are any number of reasons why that might be the case but at the end of the day if by providing all women's groups we get women running, it really doesn't matter why.

We welcome women of all abilities including the absolute beginner.
It doesn't matter how old you are, how fit you are or even your dress size; we simply want to share our love of this great sport in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
