About Katie

Picture
I have always run, it’s my go to sport when I need some headspace, exercise and fresh air.  After having my two children I needed a goal and was fortunate to gain a charity place to run the London marathon. During the winter months of lonely training, I looked for a local running club and found ‘Women on the Run’. The group was so welcoming and I was able to enjoy the running and the chit chat of a Tuesday session.
3 years on and I have now become a run leader and continue to enjoy spending Tuesday’s evening session with the ladies. We are a supportive, nurturing group with many different aspirations and goals but our group is inclusive and caters for all abilities through our differentiation in our sessions.
I love running with others it is both positive for our physical and mental health.
