About Gill

I started running in 1997 to do the Half Marathon in Exeter.  After 6 months training, my friend and I did it.  She didn't want to continue running much but by then the Women's Running Network had started and I joined that and have run ever since completing many half marathons, 2 marathons and numerous 10Ks and fun runs etc.  Having tried out the new Great West Run route I am now content to stick to 10 mile races preferably off-road and enjoy the social longer runs on Saturday morning.  I really enjoy my Tuesday group and welcome new runners and those returning to running.  We try to have fun and keep fit.
