I joined Woman on the run in October 2020 and I haven't looked back!
It's a wonderful group, we chat and laugh our way around East Devon. Through mud and rain, sun and flowers. The companionship of the group is amazing, each person is interesting and open and I don't think there's another group like it.
I decided to train to be a leader at a very busy time in my life. I was completely changing my career and in the middle of a postgraduate qualification. It was a good decision, leading the group has kept me running and I enjoy watching others find their place in our happy team.
Not many people know that running can be a team sport, but when you're faced with a steep hill in the rain, having someone there who believes you can run up it, is deeply valuable.
