I joined Women on the Run in 2016 and have never looked back. I have always enjoyed sport and have played Badminton and Volleyball for Devon. After a back injury which forced me to retire from badminton, I knew I had to find something else. I had dabbled in running for years but always on my own.  Being a sociable person, joining a group was the obvious answer for me.

One year and one day after joining, I qualified as a Running Leader and also ran my first half marathon. I have made some lifelong friends within this group and the others and can’t imagine life before I was a  part of it. The support and encouragement from every single one of the ladies I have met has been wonderful and I can’t recommend them enough, but why don’t you come along and find out for yourself.
